What has been parent feedback on Navigate?
We have a faculty and staff of nearly 100. What is the ease of training all on the use of the Navigate Prepared App?
Does NaviGate assist in drills? Having staff and students practice drills is probably a good strategy.
We are struggling with getting buy in and everyone working as a team on this. We have Navigate as well, it has just been discouraging. We have to all be on the same page and work together as a team. Not asking due to the risk of critical feedback seems a strong indication that a leader is unwilling to be part of conversation they know is happening.
Do you think Navigate be effective for a large district of 23 schools? I am afraid of too many false alarms.

I think it is great we are hearing from a Superintendent. It is important to have buy in from the top down.
I used to work in California and there were not doors to lock. This is more common than not in warm weather states. How does Navigate deal with these schools?

How was the relationship with the SRO's assigned to your district? What is a selling point for Navigate Prepared to a Super to implement in a dist? New SRO program with school district.
We have an excellent relationship with our local PD and SRO's but that was NOT a factor in choosing Navigate. Had we not had a good relationship with the PD, we would have offered the videos and photos to them with the understanding that they might not take or use them. I would have been upset because the pictures and videos are major resources, but it is what it is. - Dr. Chris Brown
Stepping back/away from the "top down method" of "setting off an alarm" is a new approach to school safety. How did you implement?
Is there anything you would improve about Navigate Prepared? If so how would you improve it or how would you make it better?

How much does Navigate cost?
You mentioned maps and pictures. How does that work?
Navigate sends people to your site and they take video and pictures and then format them for the app and to be used with law enforcement. All we had to do was be available to open the spaces for them. - Dr. Chris Brown
Locking External Doors is Essential. It is important to ensure that everyone from staff to students know that it is essential to keep all doors locked all day long.
This is off topic, but what are the race medals on the wall for? It looks like you could run from one end of the building to the other pretty fast. Congratulations.

I setup NaviGate for CLIU #21 and absolutely love it - great for quickly, instantly updating information, tracking drills, and RESPOND is a must have!
This was informative but I was eager to hear more about preventing shootings by identifying at risk students or others who are prone to violence. As you said every shooting is unique, but the traits of shooters are not.
I would be more than happy to do another webinar to talk about risk factors and how mental health literacy and building relationships plays a huge roll in preventing violence. I have a lot of experience on this topic as well. - Dr. Chris Brown
Can you share a roll out plan and timeline of how long it took to implement? Success Rate?
I implented over five elementary schools, two middle schools, and a large high school. I would say that realistically, the elementary schools were rolled out in about 45 days. The middle schools were about three months and the high school (240 staff and 1,660 students) will take six months. - Dr. Chris Brown
Did you mandate staff putting this on their phone or did you put it on all school staff devices? Accountability.
We were not able to mandate that the products be placed on personal cell phones. I would say that we had about 85% buy in on personal cell phones. - Dr. Chris Brown
