"Expert advice on planning for an uncertain school year"
New York’s superintendents are dealing with the unknowns brought on by the COVID-19 school year, while politicians use the state education budget as a political football. Even though you might not be sure what funding you’re going to be working with, planning for 2021/2022 still falls on your shoulders.
This virtual event will allow you to tap into the expertise of Bob Lowry, NYSCOSS’s resident budgeting expert, so that you aren’t paralyzed by uncertainty when you sit down to budget. He’ll be joined by experienced New York education leaders who will share their district budgeting approach without knowing what the future holds.
You’ll learn:
- How to approach budgeting with a business mindset
- What are “good cuts” versus “bad cuts”
- Tips on planning your budget for an uncertain school year
