Adriana Garza has 34 years of experience working in public schools as a teacher, principal and central office leader. Her work has focused on closing achievement gaps and creating equitable opportunities for underserved students. As a result of this work she has garnered various state awards and recognitions. Her current role is as Director of Leadership Development for Northside ISD in San Antonio. She oversees the training and development of all levels of leaders in the district. Her current goal is to create a principal pipeline that will ensure that every campus in Northside has a highly qualified principal at the helm.

Iain Boomer has held the role of Head of Learning and Development Canada since January 2018.

Iain leads a team of 7 Learning professionals focused on driving learning excellence for AbbVie’s 500+ professionals. The team is dedicated to ensuring adult learning principals are applied in a measurable, engaging, value-add and innovative approach. Iain’s team ensures leadership development, commercial & medical strategies, employee & product onboarding journeys, compliance learning and In-Field team skills & capabilities are executed and aligned with business goals & strategies.

AbbVie Canada has the potential to deliver more than 20 new medicines or indications by 2022. Iain and several members of his team actively participate in many Launch readiness committees to ensure launch excellence for AbbVie Canada.

Prior to joining AbbVie Canada, Iain held roles within AbbVie’s global learning organization. Iain has over 12 years of experience in the learning industry holding various positions, including Area level lead for Abbott Medical Optics in EMEA and project director at IC Axon. Iain holds a Bachelor of Science in Animal Biology and Anatomy & Cell Biology from McGill University.

Iain holds a position as a member of the Board of PMCQ – Pharmaceutical Marketing Club of Quebec as VP of Planning.

A Vancouver native, Shannon spent the last four years in Montreal studying Anthropology and Sociology at Concordia University. She brings a well-rounded background in education, research, sales and customer service to the team. While her perpetual curiosity can sometimes get her into trouble, it also guided her studies in culture and community and eventually brought her to ThoughtExchange. She is excited about the collaborative nature of her work and motivated by her passionate teammates.

Lea is a seasoned leader with a background in collaboration, research and technology. She obtained her Master’s in Strategic Leadership towards Sustainability in Sweden, where collaboration was an integral part to all learning outcomes. Joining ThoughtExchange as the first facilitator, Lea went on to grow and lead the team as VP Service before taking on her current role. She is fascinated by group dynamics and communication and the application of technology to improve them. She also likes to consider herself a world traveler.
